About three weeks ago, we started having an issue when we put our 2019 Chevy Bolt (which has about 7,000 miles) in park. Occasionally, it would slip to neutral when you took your foot off the brake.
We would have to shift back into drive or reverse, then stop and shift back to park before it would stay engaged. Last week, it completely stopped shifting. It stayed stuck in park. After a tow to the local dealership, it was determined the shifter needed replacing. This was the first shifter repair this particular dealership had made for the Bolt. However, a google search showed it was not all that uncommon.
The shifter repair was covered by warranty.
