E-Billing takes online bill payment one step further. At Blue Grass Energy, we can email your electric bill each month. On your billing date, you’ll receive an email that links you directly to your Blue Grass Energy bill.

Take the surprise out of opening your monthly bill with levelized budget billing.Your payment will be averaged into 12 monthly installments throughout the year, eliminating large jumps in your energy costs. To qualify for levelized budget billing, you must be at least a one-year co-op member and have a good payment record. Enroll in Levelized/Budget Billing by clicking here.

Have your monthly bill payment deducted from your bank account on the due date automatically - saving you time and money. It’s the same convenient process you may already be using for a car loan, insurance premium or other monthly payment. The amount of your bill will be automatically deducted from your bank account on the due date.

Have your monthly bill payment charged to your credit card automatically – saving you time and money.  It’s the same convenient process you may already be using for other monthly payments you have. The amount of your bill will be charged to your credit card on the due date of each month, automatically.

Prepay gives members an opportunity to purchase electricity before they use it. This eliminates the need for deposits, late fees, disconnect fees, and reconnect fees. You will not receive a bill, and you must be able to receive electronic communications from Blue Grass Energy. You can enroll in prepay by placing a minimum of $100 in your prepay account. No deposit is required. Text or email alerts are sent when your account balance is under the minimum balance of $25. You will continue to receive alerts until the balance becomes greater than $25. Several small payments can be made throughout the month rather than having a larger payment due on a certain date. Either way, you are in charge of your energy use and your payments. If you need further help, here are some Community Action agencies that offer assistance.

Pennies for Purpose is a program that helps our neighbors and communities for pennies each month. It is funded by Blue Grass Energy members who round up their monthly electric bills to the nearest dollar; and provides funding to charitable causes across our 23-county service area.

Once a member enrolls, the average yearly contribution would be about $6. For example, a $64.89 bill would round up to an even $65. 

Once Pennies for Purpose is funded, charitable causes will have the opportunity to apply for donations.
