On December 18, Blue Grass Energy visited with the 2nd graders at Rosenwald-Dunbar Elementary School in Nicholasville.

Employees helped students plant two trees, a tulip poplar and a red maple, at the school. Students learned the tulip poplar is the state tree along with why it is important to plant the right tree in the right place. They also learned how to be safe with trees around power lines.

This is the fifth year Blue Grass Energy has planted trees at schools in their twenty-three-county service area.

Investing in our communities is just one of the many ways Blue Grass Energy is making life better, the cooperative way.
