Blue Grass Energy Awards Scholarships to Ten Local Students

Blue Grass Energy is pleased to announce the winners of its 2026 scholarship program. This year, the cooperative awarded ten $1,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors across its service area.

Scholarships were awarded through a random drawing from over 200 applications. All recipients are enrolled in some form of higher education, including universities, colleges, or technical schools.

The 2026 Blue Grass Energy Scholarship recipients are:

  • Jack Midden – Cynthiana
  • Reese Blackerby – Nicholasville
  • McKenna Jackson – Paris
  • Ryan Garrett Womack – Lawrenceburg
  • Nichele Spellecy – Richmond
  • Ethan Tacket – Berea
  • Neala Shook – Georgetown
  • Aryonna Clark – Lawrenceburg
  • John Austin Snapp – Paris
  • Mahek Patel – Georgetown

“At Blue Grass Energy, we believe in empowering the next generation of leaders,” said Denise Myers, Vice President of Community Relations. “These scholarships help students take the next step in their education while reinforcing our commitment to the communities we serve.”

Blue Grass Energy’s scholarship program is part of the cooperative’s ongoing commitment to education and community support across its 23-county service area.
