While we are not disconnecting services at this time, we encourage members to go ahead and pay what they can, when they can in order to avoid large balances in the future.

Business office changes
For the safety of our members and employees, we have closed all of our lobbies to walk-in traffic. You can still conduct all business using our drive-thrus. The drive-thrus are open from 7:45 a.m. until 4:15 p.m. and closed from 11-11:30 a.m. for lunch.

Beware of scams
Unfortunately, scammers may try to take advantage during this situation. Remember that Blue Grass Energy will never call you and ask for credit or debit card numbers or other personal information. Customers who receive a suspicious phone call should hang up and contact us directly if someone calls and demands payment of your bill.
The many ways to do business with us
For your convenience, we have many ways that you can do business with us.
Pay your bill automatically each month through your bank account or credit card.
You can conduct all business through the website, including report an outage and pay a bill.
Download the mobile app to report outages, make payments, manage alerts, set reminders and receive push notifications.
Call our office. We are staffed and ready to assist you.
Call our automated payment line to pay with MasterCard, VISA or echeck.
A convenient reply envelope is included with your monthly bill.
Our drive-thru is open Monday-Friday. Our drop box is available 24/7.
You may be using more energy during the quarantine
As members spend more time at home, they may see a surge in energy use. Some steps members can take to help manage their energy include:
- Do full loads of laundry and wash with cold water. Using warm water instead of hot can cut a load's energy use in half, and using cold water will save even more.
- Air dry dishes. This step can cut your dishwasher's energy use by up to 50 percent.
- Substitute LEDs for conventional light bulbs. Lighting can amount to up to 12 percent of monthly energy use. LED bulbs can cut lighting costs by 75 percent.
- Unplug appliances and electronics when not in use. Small appliances and electronics use energy even when not in use. When powered on, game consoles, televisions and similar electronics are responsible for up to 12 percent of energy use.
