Blue Grass Energy Annual Meeting Thursday, June 7

Blue Grass Energy invites its member-owners to the 2012 Annual Meeting Thursday, June 7, at the Keeneland Entertainment Center.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Registration  is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and the business meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.

Entrance to the Keeneland Entertainment Center is directly across from Man O’ War Boulevard and Blue Grass Airport, at 4201 Versailles Road in Lexington.

At the business meeting, co-op officials will review the 2011 business operations, and members will also hear about issues affecting the electric co-op industry today.

After the business meeting, 11 area high school graduates will be honored as Blue Grass Energy’s 2012 scholarship recipients.

Before the business meeting, members can enjoy food and visit informational exhibits, including energy efficiency. Entertainment will be Remix-an educational and fun group for children and adults.

Member-owners can also enter to win prizes. Grand prizes are a John Deere riding lawnmower, sponsored by Bevins Motor Company, and a 40-inch Energy Star-rated TV. Children’s prizes include an X-Box Kinect, bicycles and an IPad.
